Vintage Mid Century Japanese Blue Willow 12 5/8” Oval Platter

Lovely old blue willow pattern, this timeless piece was made in Japan, and has wonderful patina and age to it. The blue willow pattern covers the plate and goes to the very edge of the rim, the large, timeless pattern appears across the center of the platter, with a geometric pattern, framing it around the rim. This is a nice large size and can be incorporated into your table and used today. This platter mixes well with other blue and white for a classic look

12 5/8” wide by 9 1/8 inch long

No chips, no cracks. It has extensive crazing throughout the plate with some discoloration along the crazing lines. It also has some paint smears from at the time that the plate was made. They are under the glaze and appear along the front rim and some on the backside of the plate. There is also a piece of clay under the glaze on the backside rim , this also would’ve occurred at the time that the plate was made.
