Vintage African Wood Carved Lion

The wood is a deep chocolate brown with active graining the eyes appear to have been filled with tiny bits of clay to lighten and add detail. Nice condition. Minor surface scuffs from handling. Light spot on foot without staining. Knot in wood by leg is natural occurrence in wood. Tail may have a natural fissure or old repair (I am unsure so noting it).
