Set of Four (4) Antique Myott Staffordshire Indian Tree Teacups
Fantastic set of four tea cups, highly coveted pattern of Indian tree, these tea cups were made by Myott of Staffordshire England in the 1930s. They have the classic pattern of Indian tree around the front with a Greek key like pattern at the rim on the inside and out. A very thin pea green line edges, the rim and trims the handle They were very angular art deco handle that would’ve been of the period. Smaller than a full size tea cup, they would be great for espresso or for small serving of tea. They are equally as lovely to display.
2 5/8 inches in diameter across the top
One and 5/8 inches in diameter across the bottom
3 3/8 inches wide through the handle
2 5/8 inches tall
Overall, in nice condition, there is some very minor discoloration on the inside from use. There is crazing present in each tea cup. There is shelfware where they have rested on a shelf or a tea cup that has created a chip on the bottom of one and onto others very tiny scuffs to the glaze that does result in tiny pockmarks.
