Pair of Deep Navy Blue Glass Chinoiserie Lamps
Wonderful pair of Asian table lamps likely dating to the 1990s, they are made of glass that has been painted blue. The blue is so deep and dark, that it edges on black, unless there is light around it to brighten it. Shaped like a hexagon ginger jar, the lamp has flowers painted onto the surface of the front of the lamp. The paint is a metallic silver, with accents of a burgundy and white. The silver picks up a reflection of items around it, and may reflect yellows or gold, but it is truly a dark silver. The design is subtle. The lamp rest upon an Asian influenced, black stained base. Very lovely lamps from the period to use in a living room, or bedroom, as they bring an element of moodiness.
