Mid Century Swan and Koi Brass Compote

Wonderful old brass compote with so much fantastic detail. At the base a swan holds up the peace with a branch and it’s mouth. The handle is a Koi fish with his mouth resting on the rim of the bowl. Around the edge, a beaded trim, and in the center of the bowl a scrolling clamshell medallion. the vessel has mellowed an age with a pretty patina that adds to its charm. It has not been polished. We love this piece to display things such as fruit or even a set of old books, it has a wonderful old world charm, and so much movement and its design.
