Late 19th Century Red Soapstone Deity Lamp
Gorgeous very old red soapstone , presenting the god of longevity. He holds in his hand a lotus bud, robes draping his arms, and a staff held in one hand. He rests upon a deep brown soapstone base. The soapstone was mounted into a brass lamp base near/around 1920. Stamped into brass on inside is CHINA, giving us a sense of age of when this piece was converted to a lamp. It is a wonderful piece of art and a splendid addition to decor bringing old world charm.
Shade not included.

Soapstone is 9” tall x 3.5” wide x 2” deep
Nice condition, soapstone doesn’t have any damage. The brass base was made to fit the base. No broken pieces to soapstone. Soapstone piece is a little loose from base. I tighten the screw and it does tighten up. Handling it will cause it to loosen again, and it can simple by tightened by tightening bolt gently on underside.
Powers on, ball chain from socket to turn on, socket marked 250W 250V, standard US bulb and plug
