Antique Peruvian Alpaca Blanket South American Weaving

Finely woven Peruvian blanket in a oxblood background with striped lines of navy blue, green, cream , gray and black. Soft to touch, blanket has a very tiny, tight weave. Textile has a top and bottom as weave does not look same from both sides. Traditional pattern decorate stripes. Wear to center of textile, with a faint darkened stain that appears to have happened a very long time ago.

Textile has a retail tag indicating blanket dates to 1820.
