1958 Metropolitan Museum of Art Portfolio 5 with Prints
Wonderful art book from the 1950s by the metropolitan museum of art, this is portfolio five which is titled composition. It is by John Canaday and part of a series, called Metropolitan seminars and art
The book is printed on heavy paper and is in black-and-white. It discusses composition as pictures and patterns. Included with the book were color plates. There are 10 plates with this book. Originally there would have been 12, two are no longer with the book.

The prints are in nice condition they have been in a front pocket. They may have some minor wear to the corners that have been exposed to the edges that have been exposed, but there are no rips on the book has some stress to the spine and a spot on the spine that the paper has torn and a piece is missing, see the photo. Pages have yellowed with age.
