1958 Metropolitan Museum of Art Portfolio 4 with Prints
Wonderful art book from the 1950s by the metropolitan museum of art, this is portfolio 4 which is titled abstraction. It is by John Canaday and part of a series, called Metropolitan seminars and art
The book is printed on heavy paper and is in black-and-white. It discusses abstraction, the painter in the world. We never see. Included with the book were color plates. There are 12 plates with this book, and that is a complete set.

The prints are in nice condition they have been in a front pocket. They may have some minor wear to the corners that have been exposed to the edges that have been exposed, but there are no rips. one has a tiny brown spot on white edge , the book has some stress to the spine and is loose - see the photo. Pages have yellowed with age.
